Who We Are

Folks’s founder Gade is a self-taught pastry chef growing up in Bangkok, and her partner Joe is a restauranteur with more than 15 years running restaurant business in Pattaya.

We started Folks & Flour on a rocky road, during Covid pandemic lockdown. But after only one summer, Folks expanded to its first brick-and-mortar bakery in Pattaya, Thailand. When we opened our very first location, We wanted it to be a place for the community to gather, to feel welcomed, to create a sense of home and belonging. We has since opened 4  Folks & Flour bakeries in neighborhoods and communities around Pattaya and Jomtien, but the aim has always remained the same; each Folks has its own individual sense of identity, feel and style but they all stay true to the original spirit – to what Folks is all about. We are here to inspire, care for and nurture people around us. Every day.
